Extra Edition-Logical Interpretation of Karate

I've written about thrusts of various people and effective thrusts.

Since I am an engineer, I was wondering what kind of thrust is effective, why / how it works, and whether it can be scientifically / logically explained / someday.

The other day, while I was driving a car, a university professor was demonstrating on TV with the word "science of martial arts". I missed the details because I was driving, but I was very interested. Where I searched for him at my home, he was a professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Chubu University.

・ Science of martial arts (Blue Bucks)

・ Science of fighting (same as above)

It seems that books such as are published.

I immediately searched around, obtained "Science of Martial Arts", and when I read it, I thought that the operation of martial arts was logically explained and "Oh, I was late". However, the content has been examined in a much wider range than I think, and it is far from my feet. Overwhelmed.

The following three were particularly impressive.

① When you clench your hand, the muscles of your forearm become unnecessarily tense, your consciousness concentrates on your fingers and palm, and the movement of the entire upper limb loses smoothness. The explanation that "the spirit reaches far" in Aikido etc. means that the consciousness does not concentrate too much on the hand by extending the fingertips. I thought that what was said to be ki was scientifically well explained (although the existence of ki was not denied, it was said that "apart from the existence of ki." ).

② Explanation of Bajiquan's "Shomon Top Elbow". Previously, I mentioned the Bajiquan kata (Touro) called Shouka-Ichiro, but I wasn't sure how to use the elbow that appears in it. It wasn't the behavior of the kata itself, but it was a hint to think about how to use it.

③ It is explained because the center of gravity is moving at a large speed, so it will be a very heavy impact force, about while it will be effective if it hits a thrust that does not accumulate force. That's what I've experienced so far.

It may be difficult to read for those who are not interested in science and engineering, but I highly recommend reading this book. Let's search for Sience of fighting as soon as possible.
