Traditional Kata-Interpretation of Wankan

The Genseiryu Wankan has the action of sticking out both fists in the left-right direction from the upper crossing receive. In the Genseiryu's kata “Jin-i“, there is an action of pulling both hands from the upper crossing receive, and Master S.I said that it also includes the action of loosening it when both hands are tied with a hemp rope. In the old days when there was no nylon etc., hemp rope was the string, and it seems that the hands tied with hemp rope would loosen when twisted. Therefore, I was wondering if the movement of Wankan could be removed even if it loosened, but I thought it had the same meaning.

The other day I happened to find the following video. From the 1'15 "position, the movement from the upper hand crossing receive is introduced, and while pulling in the opponent's hand grasped by the crossing receive, attack with the other hand. So that's it, I thought.

Looking at it from the beginning again, after the first right hand sword receive (I don't know what he is saying), the left hand sword receive is interpreted as a elbow to the right opponent, and up to the upper hand crossing receive, subsequent actions can be interpreted in that flow, and subsequent interpretations are also interesting. Other katas also sometimes have videos of these seemingly rational interpretations, which is interesting.

In the process of looking for this video, I happened to found a video of Shotoukan's Wankan. As I wrote before, Genseiryu Wankan is very similar in composition to Matsubayashi-ryu, and so is Shito-ryu. On the other hand, Shotoukan's Wankan has a completely different kata's composition, and I don't think it is based on the same kata. Why?

Don't get me wrong because I'm not denying Shotoukan's Wankan. There is also the interpretation video of this kata, which is interesting.
