突きについて何度か書いたが、思ったことがあり追記する。
ダイラタンシー流体というものをご存知だろうか。例えば片栗粉を水に溶いたような溶液で、以前TVでその溶液の上を走り抜けるということをやっていた。
Wikipediaによるとダイラタンシーとは、遅いせん断刺激には液体のように振る舞い、より速いせん断刺激に対してはあたかも固体のような抵抗力を発揮する性質のことだそうである。ゆっくり手を入れれば流体だし、衝撃に対しては反発する。
人間の体はこれに似たところがあるのではないかと思う。スナップを効かせた空手の突きは弾かれる。相手を吹っ飛ばすくらいのパワーで突けば効果があるかも知れないが、それは最早、老若男女誰でもできる空手ではない。一方、江上流のような柔らかい突きはその力が体を通る。小学校低学年の素人の女の子の突きがとんでもなく効いたように。

Did you know what a dilatancy fluid is? For example, I watched before on a TV what someone run on the solution of starch dissolved in water.
According to Wikipedia, dilatancy refers to the property of behaving like a liquid for slow shear stimuli and acting like a solid to faster shear stimuli. If you put your hand slowly, it will be a fluid, and it will repel the impact.

I think the human body has something similar to this. The karate thrust that snapped is flipped. It may be effective if you poke it with enough power to blow off your opponent, but it is no longer a karate that can be done by young and old alike. On the other hand, a soft thrust like Egamiryu passes through its body. As if the punch of an amateur girl in the lower grades of elementary school effected ridiculously.
