仕事が休みの日には近所の緑地公園で空手の型を練習しているが、やっていると型の原型や空手史等、いろいろ疑問に思うことがある。また、型の解釈等で思うこともある。備忘録も兼ねてそれらについて書くとともに何か情報を得られればとの思いでこれを始めることとした。従って、気付いたこと、知っていること等があれば、コメントを頂けるとありがたく。公開した方が良いと思ったものは公開します。
できるだけ書籍、動画等で確認したことを書くつもりであるが、記憶間違いがあるかも知れない。また、独りよがりの思い込みもあると思う。それらはご容赦願いたい。
動画を見ていると首里手の本質は国内ではなく、海外により正しく伝承されているように感じることがある。日本国内では競技化・格闘技化の流れがあったものの、戦後、沖縄は日本本土の影響をあまり受けず、米国に統治されていたからだろうか。海外であっても、旧琉球王国の文化、唐手が正しく伝わっているのであれば、それについては喜ばしい限りである。
そのため、外国人の方が情報を持っている可能性もあり、翻訳ツールを使って英語での記載も試行してみることとする。但し、筆者は英語が苦手なので、誤訳も多々あると思う。記憶間違いに思い込み、誤訳もありでは大変申し訳ないが・・、そういうものだと思ってご容赦願いたい。また、初回から挫折しそうになった。英語での記載がなくなっちゃったらごめんなさい。
