末吉の棍は「空手道―専門家に贈る」で、周氏の棍は村上勝美さんの本で覚えた。
周氏と末吉の型はとても似ている。元々同一の型だろうか。
大学空手部の同期に両型が似ていることを言ったら「当たり前じゃん」と言われたことがある。
彼は何故そう言えたのだろう。何を知っているのだろう。当時、聞けば良かったが・・。

因みに周氏は1831年に首里の安里地区に在住していた人らしい。
また、末吉氏は船越義珍の書籍の空手道一路にも出ており、同世代の方が居られたようである（型の創作者本人か子孫かは不明）。
本部流のブログによると末吉の棍は周氏と趙氏の棍を合わせたものらしいが、趙氏の棍は動画で見つけられない。同ブログでは趙氏の棍は趙雲の棍に置き換わっているのではないかとのことから動画を見たところ、周氏の棍には無い、左右に棒を縦に構えて一歩踏み込む動作があった。末吉の棍は成程、周氏の棍と趙（雲）氏の棍を合わせて創られたもののようである。なお、末吉氏は添石氏の誤りとのことである。

By the way, Mr. Shu-shi seems to have lived in the Asato district of Shuri in 1831.
Mr. Sueyoshi also appeared in the book Karatedo Ichiro of Gichin Funakoshi, and it seems that there were people of the same generation (it is unknown whether he is the creator of the kata or his descendants).
According to the Motobu-ryu blog, Sueyoshi's kon is a combination of Shu-shi and Cho-shi's kon, but Cho-shi's kon cannot be found in the video. In addition, Mr. Sueyoshi is said to be Mr. Soeishi mistake.
