玄制流のバッサイ小は松林流のバッサイに構成がとても良く似ている。松林流では最初の方に手刀打ちから恐らく抜き手をしている箇所があるが、玄制流では掌底による突き上げにしている。誰からの伝承なのだろうか。
玄制流にはワンカン、ローハイもある。これらは元々泊手の型と聞くが（by 本部朝基著の書籍より）、たまたま見つけた松林流の型と構成が非常によく似ている。

また、武村の公相君は松林流の公相君と共通点がある（上段手刀・前蹴り後の振り返ってしゃがみ込んでの下段払い動作等）。松林流は首里手の松村宗昆と泊手の松茂良耕作の影響を受けているという。
武士 武村は廃藩置県の後、泊地方に隠棲されており、岸本祖孝先生はその時期に武士 武村に師事していたようである。玄制流は泊手の影響をかなり強く受けているのではないだろうか。また、祝嶺制献先生は、空手鍛錬3カ月という書籍で佐渡山安恒先生から体力増強を指導されたことが紹介されているが、佐渡山先生から他に何を／何か型を教わったのかは情報が無い。

Bassai-sho of Genseiryu is very similar in composition to Bassai of Matsubayashiryu style very well. In Matsubayashiryu, there is probably a place where the hand stab is done from the hand-sword in the first one, but in Genseiryu, it is pushed up by the bottom of the palm. Who did it hand down?
There are also Wankan and Rohai in Genseiryu, but I hear that these are originally the kata of Tomari-te (from the book by Mr. Choki Motobu). They are similar to Matsubayashi-ryu.

In addition, Takemura's Koshokun has a lot in common with Matsubayashiryu's Koshokun. It is said that the Matsubayashi-ryu is influenced by Matsumura Sokon in Shurite and Matsumora Kosaku in Tomarite.
