チントウ（岩鶴）を初めて見たのは大学空手部で、当時の主将が得意としてやられていた。とても格好よく、筆者も大学空手部では一番好きな型となったがやはり解釈は気になる。
一時期、両側を高い壁で隔てられた道路、または田圃の畦道を想定して、公園のフェンスに沿って練習していた。その場合、相手は前後に一人ずつとの想定となる。前方の相手の攻撃を下段払い、同時に後方の相手の攻撃を外受けで受ける等の解釈はナイハンチでも書いたように、違うだろうと思っていた・・・。
海外からの動画で「へぇー」と思うチントウの分解組手があった。検索していれば出てくるだろうと思っていたら、キーワードを忘れてしまった。URLはわからない。どうしようかな、と思っていた時期に以前紹介した「隠されていた空手」に岩鶴が載っていた。今はそれをベースに解釈を考えている。
なお、岩鶴の演武線は縦一線であるが他流派では横一線や斜め一線もあるようである。縦一線は糸洲安恒氏の改変によるものと思っているが、横、または斜め一線のどれが原型に近いのだろうか。

It should be noted that Gankaku's performance line is a vertical line, but it seems that there are horizontal lines and diagonal lines in other factions. I wonder that the vertical line is a modification of Mr. Anko Itosu, but which of the horizontal or diagonal lines is closer to the prototype?
