松村宗昆、武士 武村の師匠の佐久川寛賀は、唐手 佐久川と呼ばれていたそうである。そして、そこで言う唐手は琉球武術のことではなく、中国拳法のことではないかと言う説がある。また、空手の型は中国拳法の影響を強く受けているようである。すると、中国拳法からの伝系も気になる。
この図は、自費で何度も中国に行って調査して来られたという方の著書に基づき整理してみたものである。同書の真偽にはいろいろな人が疑問を投げかけておられる。確かに論理性・根拠に乏しく、かなりの思い込みで結論付けているように思うところが多々ある。この著者は理数系ではないのだろう。上図も疑わしいところがあり、鵜呑みにはしないで頂きたい。矛盾が多く校閲も十分ではないようである。
ただ、空手の伝系を中国拳法にまで遡り掘り下げようとしている書物は他に殆ど見たことがなく、参考になることも多い。空手史について知見を深める緒としてまずは意義深い著書だと思う。また、同書に付属のDVDでは何種類かのサンチンが紹介されており、同時期はサンチンに興味を持っていたことから筆者には面白い著書であった。

Sokon Matsumura, and Bushi Takemura's teacher, Kanga Sakugawa, was known as Tode Sakugawa. There is a theory that Tode is not about Ryukyu martial arts but about Chinese kempo. The karate kata seems to be strongly influenced by Chinese kempo. So, I concern about tradition from Chinese kempo.
This figure is based on the book of a person who went to China many times at his own expense to investigate. Various people have questioned the truth of the book. Certainly, there are many places where the evidence is poor and seems to be concluded with considerable assumptions. I think the author will be probably not someone who can think logically. The above figure is also suspicious, so please don't swallow it. It seems that there are many contradictions and the review is not enough.
However, there are almost no other books that attempt to dig into the history of karate dating back to Chinese kempo, and are often helpful. First of all, it is a significant book to deepen my knowledge of karate history. In addition, several DVDs of Sanchin were introduced in the DVD attached to the book, and I was interested in Sanchin at the same time, so it was an interesting book for the author.
