玄制流には阿吽の型というものがある。基本型をやっている頃に並行して教えて頂いた型である。呼吸に合わせて動く型で、主に不動立ち、開掌での掛け手・掌底突きが多く、当時、小学生か中学生の頃であるがとても好きな型であった。
ただ、当時玄制流のS.I.先生は「祝嶺先生はこの型を新空手道教範に載せなかったんだよなぁ。」と残念そうに仰っていた。
当時、新空手道教範は本屋で見つけられなかった（後で知ったが、既に絶版となっていた）けど、いずれ購入して玄制流の型はそれで確認すればいいやと思っていた。ただ、載っていないとなると話が違う。忘れちゃったらそれまでだな、と思って当時、ノートに型の動作を書いておいた。中二の頃である。
就職してしばらくブランクがあり、空手の練習を再開したとき、そのノートがとても役立った。筆者は今でも玄制流の阿吽の型を練習している。好きな型だから今後も続けるだろう。多分。
なお、同型は、動画で見つけられない。世の中の書籍にも載っていない。恐らく失伝してしまっているのだろうと思っている。

There is a kata of Aun in the Genseiryu. This is the kata that was taught to me while I was doing the basic kata. It is a kata that moves according to breathing, and is mostly immobile standing, and there are opening the palm receive, hold hand and palm-thrust.
However, at the time, the Genseiryu Mr.S.I. said disappointingly, "Mr. Shukumine didn't put this kata in the Shin Karate-do Kyohan(new karate practice)."
At that time, I couldn't find the Shin Karate-do Kyohan at a bookstore (I learned later, it was already out of print), but I thought that I should buy it and check the kata of the Genseiryu with it. However, the story is different if it is not listed. At that time, I wrote down the behavior of the kata in the notebook, thinking that if I had forgotten it, it was until then. It was around the junior high school age.
I had a blank for a while after I got a job, and when I resumed my karate practice, the notebook was very useful. I am still practicing the Aun kata of the Genseiryu. It's my favorite kata, so I'll continue to do it in the future. Perhaps.
The same kata cannot be found in the video. It is not listed in the books in the world. I'm afraid it has probably been lost.
